1750  Fishermen from New England settled   near
            Lockwod's Folly River in Brunswick County.
            Starting with Prayer Meetings, they had no
            place to assemble for worship.  Being led
            by the Holy Spirit, they built a one-room
            log structure to use for worship.
1762   Mount Pisgah Baptist Church was
            organized.
1876   Having moved up river to Sand Hill, then 
            south to Supply on Old Stone Chimney they
            again moved in 1876 across the road from
            the present structure.
1888         November 24th.  Records dating from
                 1820-1888 were destroyed in a fire.
1939         The church building was moved across the
                 road to its present location.
1953         Remodeling was done in the sanctuary.
1961-1963 Educational space was added.
1964-1967 A larger sanctuary was built.
