The Roman Road
If you have
never professed Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior of your life,
here is how to do that using the book of Romans in the New Testament
of your Bible. For those of you who are Christians, this easy
step by step guide can help you in witnessing to others.
Our
real status before God is found in Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned,
and come short of the glory of God......." Then in Romans 6:23a
- "For the wages of sin is death....."
God loves us so much that
He offers an alternative called 'eternal life' ........."but the gift
of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord." - Romans 6:23b
Here
is how God provided His son Jesus as an atoning sacrifice for my sin.
Jesus took my penalty! "But God commendeth His love toward us,
in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." - Romans
5:8
You may wonder if God will accept you. The good news
is; YES! "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord
shalt be saved." - Romans 10:13
This is what you can do to receive
this 'eternal life': "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the
Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised
Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." - Romans 10:9
Are you
ready to ask Jesus into your heart? If the answer is yes, would
you pray this prayer:
"Lord, I know that I am a sinner. I understand
the scripture when it says that 'all have sinned and come short of
the glory of God.' I repent of my sin and ask you to forgive
me of my sin. I know that you died for me and I believe that
you rose from the grave to show me and everyone else that we can have
eternal life. Come into my heart and live in me the rest of
my life. I pray this in your name. Amen."
